About
Julie Lyn Barber is a Canadian theatre artist based in Indiana. She has worked as an actor, director/choreographer and music director with companies like Actors Theatre of Indiana, Phoenix Theatre (Indianapolis), Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival, The Round Barn Theatre and the Richmond Shakespeare Festival in Indiana, and triangle productions!, Northwest Children's Theatre, Northwest Classical Theatre, Broadway Rose Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars (Vancouver), Portland Opera Association, and Portland Center Stage on the West Coast.
She can also be found crooning jazz tunes at venues like Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael, spinning early music arias with the Kekionga Early Music Collective, or singing with The Steampunks or Earl Eye and the Space Pirates at venues like the Conner Prairie Headless Horseman Festival. Her original musicals have been produced in the U.S. and Canada and she operates an online Voice & Acting Studio. She is also the Head of Musical Theatre at Purdue University Fort Wayne.
